Looting Spreads Across London after Tottenham Riot
Monday, August 8th, 2011Rioters continue to cause chaos across London and the rioting is now spreading to other areas of the United Kingdom such as Birmingham. The riots that stemmed from a peaceful vigil for the victim of a police shooting Mark Duggan in Tottenham have now escalated completely out of control. The fact that these riots have spread across areas such as Walthamstow, Camden Lock, Croydon and as far afield as Birmingham shows that any connection to the initial shooting now seems irrelevant to the rioting looters.
In Croydon today 8th August 2011 a famous 140 year old building housing Reeves Furniture Warehouse is on Fire after rioters looted the shop. It seems the looters are also going as far as attempting to kick in the doors of residential properties to vandalise and burgle innocent members of the public.
Many shops such as Curries electrical store, Mobile Phone shops like Carphone Warehouse, Jewellers and even Bookmakers are coming under attack and being looted by the gangs of masked youths roaming the streets in these areas. Police presence seems to be too thin on the ground to prevent the widespread looting as this scurge spreads through the nations capital and further afield!
